One of the side periods I get interested in on and off is the wars of the 19th century in Europe. I developed an interest in the Franco-Prussian Franco-Austrian wars probably in high school when I had a very informative teacher who taught about the unification of Prussia. Recently I have collected several of the Osprey books on the period and have a particular interest in the Italian, Dutch and Austrian armies.

My figures for the conflicts of the period are all heroics and ros. I have a small amount of infantry and artillery for Prussia, France, Austria and Denmark. I have had to create armies for Austria and Denmark from other figures in the range as heroics and ros do not make specific forces for these nations. At points I have considered changing scales and going with the 10mm pendraken range which appears to be complete. However, I do like how the heroics and ros figures look and they are relatively cheap and paint up quickly. I hope to expand to Italians and Russians at some point and even bring in fictional Burgundian and Swiss armies.
